Golden Retriever Lab Mix Puppies For Sale
The breed standard of the golden retriever was created by breeder named Charles F. Dobermann in 1874. Today there are two main types of golden retrievers: the German Shepherd dog and the Golden Retriever. There are many different colors and markings that can be seen in these dogs; however, they all share one thing: their love for humans!
There are several reasons why people choose to have a golden retriever as a pet. Some prefer the fact that these dogs are very loyal and will always keep your family safe from harm. Others like the fact that these dogs are very intelligent and can learn new things quickly. Still others like the fact that these dogs make great companions because they tend not to bark at strangers or other pets when walking around with them.
Many people buy a golden retriever puppy for the same reason that some people buy cars: it’s fun to drive around in! However, if you’re looking for a dog that will give you unconditional love and devotion, then you might want to look elsewhere. If you do decide to purchase a golden retriever puppy, here are some tips on how best to go about choosing the right one.
1) Size Matters!
– Of course, no pet owner wants to get a newborn golden retriever and then have him grow into a 200-pound dog in just a few short months, but it’s always good to remember that this will happen. For this reason, it’s best to start off with a smaller puppy. The general rule is to get the runt of the litter so that you can be sure it will stay small enough to cuddle. If you don’t get the runt, then you need to at least make sure that it comes from parents that are both on the smaller size.
Once you’ve gotten your new little ball of fur, you’ll need to take good care of it (see next tip).
2) Grooming – Just because these dogs stay pretty clean due to their fur, that doesn’t mean you can just let them go weeks without a bath.
You’ll want to give your little bundle of joy a warm bath every two weeks or so. This will help keep the odor down and get rid of any fleas that may be living in their fur. Also, it’s a good idea to brush their teeth every day before you bathe them. If you really want to be sure your pet is clean inside and out, then you can get ear cleaners and apply them to the inside of your pet’s ears every week.
Of course, this all depends on how much you want to spend on grooming supplies.
3) Be Prepared for the Vet – It’s always a good idea to keep a pet first aid kit nearby, especially if you’ve gotten the runt of the litter and it stays small.
You never know, your pet may get into a fight with a bigger animal or maybe even the family cat. It’s also a good idea to keep them away from the stove because they like to chew on things and that could lead to a potential disaster.
4) Take Them for Regular Check-Ups – This is probably the most important tip of all.
No matter how clean you keep your pet, they may get into something or somewhere that you don’t know about. This could lead to all sorts of health hazards. For this reason, it’s very important that you make sure you take your pet to the veterinarian at least once every couple of months. The vet will give your pet a basic physical and look them over to make sure everything is in order.
Now that you’ve got some tips on taking care of your new pet, you should be prepared for anything. Have fun!
