Pekingese Shih Tzu Mix – Is This Designer Dog Right For You

Pekingese Shih Tzu Mix Breed Profile:

The Pekingese breed originated from China. They are known as “Little Red Riding Hood” because they have red coats with white underbelly. Their coat color is called “Shi Shi”. The Chinese name for them is “Lü Lü”, which means Little Wolf or Little Fox. The breed was originally bred for hunting.

Today, there are many different types of peng dogs. Some are used as guard dogs, some are used as herding dogs and others like the Pekingese are used for show ring. There is no one type of peng dog that is better than another. All kinds of peng dogs have their own unique characteristics such as size, temperament and other physical features.

The Pekingese is considered as a very friendly and affectionate dog. They love to play and enjoy being around people. They are not aggressive but they can become so if left alone too long. They are good watchdogs since they will always keep an eye out for danger.

They have large heads, short legs, small bodies and big ears that give them a fluffy appearance when standing upright. They are small to medium sized dogs. The Pekingese has a short and fine coat. Their coat color can be either red or sandy. They have dark eyes that should always have a happy appearance and large teeth that sometimes protrude out of their mouth.

Shih Tzus are known as the “dog of royalty”. They are native to China and they were bred as companion dogs for Chinese Emperors. The Shih Tzu is considered very rare outside of China and because of this, the breed became very popular with the European aristocracy during the 1800’s. They have a short, fine and glossy coat that can be black, white, red or bronze. The most common color for this breed is the so-called “lion-dog” red.

They have a small head with an equally small muzzle. Their eyes are often called “egg-like” since they are usually circular in shape. Their ears are heavily furred and small. They have short legs and a cobby body.

The Pekingese Shih Tzu mix is a small sized dog. The average weight for males is between 10 to 15 pounds while the average weight for females is between 8 to 12 pounds. The height for both males and females should be around 8 to 11 inches.

This breed usually has a short and fine coat. It can be either one solid color or two-toned. The color of the coat should always compliment each other. For example, a black and white dog should have black marks on their white fur or white markings on their black fur.

The Pekingese Shih Tzu mix is friendly, affectionate and playful. They love to be around people and they try to please their owners. They are excellent watchdogs since they tend to bark at almost any noise.
