Snorkie – The Miniature Schnauzer Yorkie Mix

Snorkie is a miniature schnauzer dog breed from York County, Pennsylvania. They are known for their friendly nature and love of attention. Their coat is white with black markings on it. The coloration varies according to the location where they were born and raised. Some have lighter coloring while others have darker coloring. There are different types of snorks. Some have short fur while some have long hair. They all look alike.

The most common type of snorkies are the Yorkie or Yorkian breeds which originated in England. These dogs are small and adorable looking when young but grow up very large and strong. They require a lot of exercise, affection and love from their owners because they don’t like being left alone too much.

They are very intelligent and playful. They make great family pets. They enjoy human interaction and will get along well with children. Snorkies are good watchdogs, they do not bark at everything though.

Snorkies are known for their excellent sense of smell, so they can detect a drop of blood from miles away! They also have a keen sense of hearing, so they can hear even the faintest sounds around them. Snorkies are average shedders, they don’t shed as much as other breeds but they still need regular grooming and a regular trip to the dog salon. It is not necessary to bathe them often, every few months or so will do.

A snorkie’s life expectancy is just like any other dog, some have been known to live up to 20 years of age. They get along well with children and other household pets if they are socialized when they are young. They can be stubborn at times, and obedience training is a must. It would be best to enroll them in a puppy kindergarten class when they are young.

Snorks are fun-loving and playful when they are young but slow down as they grow older. They do not like hot weather and cannot handle extreme heat for long periods of time. Just like any other dog, Snorks need to have access to fresh water at all times.

Caring for a snorkie is no different from caring for any other dog breed. They are natural hunters and can get into a lot of mischief when left alone for long periods of time. They will eat almost anything whether it is edible or not. For this reason, they must never be left unsupervised in the house.

Snorks can be taught how to fetch but do not generally like to be carried around the house. They are natural lovers of the outdoors and prefer running around in a large yard rather than being stuck inside an apartment all day.

The average snorkie (mixed schnauzer yorkie) can cost anywhere from $600-$1000 depending on the breeder and where they are purchased from.

They are loyal, loving and fun-loving creatures and will make great additions to any loving family.

Snorkies are so adorable. I just want to eat you all up!
